Outdoor Education

YMCA Camp Eberhart is situated on 200 wooded acres with over a mile of shoreline on Corey Lake. Because of this, we are a perfect place to open students eyes to the wonders of nature. Our classes are geared towards schools core standards and all classes include hands-on activities that will engage your students.

The Outdoor Education program currently serves over 2,000 local students each year. During a two- to five-day stay at YMCA Camp Eberhart, students experience school in a new environment. We have a range of classes that correspond with school curriculum and can be adapted for any grade level by our highly trained Outdoor Education instructors. Many of the classes relate closely to the curriculum for both MEAP testing in Michigan and ISTEP testing in Indiana.

To learn more about the classes offered, check out our curriculum guide. Much of our curriculum is teamwork and education-based, but we can always find time for recreational activities such as canoeing or archery.

We’re excited to offer our program to all in the Northern Indiana/Southern Michigan area. For more information please call YMCA Camp Eberhart at (269) 244-5125 to request our Teacher’s Handbook.
